Our Role
The Westside school community is committed to excellence by setting goals, taking risks to achieve them, being resilient in the face of failure, and celebrating accomplishments. This commitment inspires us all to realize our potential through:
-
critical and creative thinking
-
the development of essential skills
-
rising to the challenge of complex tasks
-
the communication of information and ideas
-
our reflection on how choices impact wellness, aspirations and community
Study, Collaborate, Gather – Still here to help you
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, at this time the Learning Commons space is closed to students but library books, materials and resources are still available for use, please speak to your teacher about borrowing library materials.
You are welcome to meet and gather in the library with friends, before and after school, at lunch or on your spare. Please remember to respect the needs of students and classes working in the learning commons.
Computer Use Policy
It is the policy of the Upper Grand District School Board that students demonstrate digital citizenship through the appropriate use of technology. This means that video games with violence (guns, blood) are strictly prohibited.
