INFORMATION FOR PARENTS COMING TO THE SCHOOL FOR PICKING UP STUDENTS’ BELONGINGS
Dear Westwood Parents & Guardians,
We hope this message finds you well!
Please take a look at the information below in advance of picking up your child’s belongings and kindly complete the self-assessment located in the link below.
INFORMATION FOR PARENTS COMING TO THE SCHOOL
Only one parent per family is permitted to come and collect their children’s belongings from Westwood at a scheduled time. Parents will need to line up at the front door of the school and wait to be called into the building. There will be signs and tape to indicate appropriate social distancing. Once inside the school there will be hand sanitizer for you to use. You may wish to wear a mask that you have brought with you, but they are not mandatory. You will enter the front door and exit the school from a different door. Staff will be in the hallways to direct you. Please also note the following:
- Your child’s belongings were packed up by their teacher one week ago. Bags and containers from home are not permitted in the building
- If your child has library books at home, you may bring them and drop them off in a bin at the front entrance
- This is not the time to be returning borrowed Chromebooks. Please do not bring them with you
- If your classroom is the eco portable, your belongings will be picked up in the library hallway
- There is no outdoor supervision and the playground remains closed
- Intermediate students will not be allowed in the building without a parent
- There will not be an opportunity for you to go through your child’s belongings at the school. If you get home and are missing items, please contact your child’s teacher
