We would like to provide our 2019-20 graduating students with an update from the school board.

As you may recall, in the spring we announced that plans for grad ceremonies were to be postponed with the hope that we could come together to celebrate in the fall. However, due to ongoing restrictions with respect to large gatherings, it will not be possible for schools to hold commencement ceremonies this fall.

We understand that this will be disappointing news, but at this time the number one priority is the safety of all our students and school community, and to do what we can to limit the spread of COVID-19 by adhering to the physical distancing and health and safety protocols in place.

We were pleased that we were able to celebrate our graduating students in new ways in the spring, through grad celebration signs and celebratory videos, and in the coming weeks, we will be working on plans for getting graduates their diplomas, awards and graduation packages. We will communicate further about this in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your understanding.
