Family Literacy Night and Book Fair!!! Thursday, April 25th at 6:30 PM

Please join us on Thursday, April 25th for William C. Winegard school’s Family Literacy Night. Our keynote speaker, Guelph author Jon-Erik Lappano, will kick things off at 6:30 pm and will be followed by lots of fun activities!

 

  • Come see how junior students use technology to enhance language arts learning and develop their 21st century learning skills
  • Visit with the Guelph Public Library and try some coding activities with their Ozobots
  • Learn more about early reading and cues you can use at home to help your child with reading
  • Meet Triathalon Canada National Team member, Dominika Jamnicky (Tokyo 2020 hopeful) and learn about how she uses non-fiction materials in her training
  • Play some fun literacy board games brought to us by Jester’s Fun Factory
  • Get up close and chat with Governor General award winner, Jon-Erik Lappano, author of Tokyo Digs a Garden
  • Come check out all the great books on offer at our annual Scholastic Book Fair taking place in the library all evening!

 

All are welcome. There will be some light refreshments as well. The gym will be open from 6:30-8pm. We hope to see you there!
