First Day Plan

We are very excited to welcome our WCW families tomorrow Tuesday, September 6th to the first day of school of the 2022/2023 school year! Below is a recap of information shared.
All students will make their way to their class line in the morning. Please arrive closer to 8:40. The school day will begin at 8:40am and end at 3:00pm.
Class Lines
Students arriving by bus will be dropped off in front of the school. Students will make their way to the back of the school and line up in front of their class sign at their designated spot. We will have staff outside to help direct students.
We encourage families to walk, or park on the side streets and limit the use of the drop off zone.
We anticipate that Lee St. between CityView and Breesegarden will be closed at the start of school. Please plan accordingly and consider an alternative route if your child walks along that sidewalk.
As in recent years, class lists have been based on tentative organizations. Changes may be necessary in order that our Board remain compliant with Ministry parameters. Any changes would be implemented by Monday, September 19th. If changes affect your child(ren), we will be sure to inform you once we have a plan.
Please take a minute to review the WCW Parent Startup Information 2022/2023 information posted on the school website to confirm your child’s meeting spot on the tarmac. The board also has shared a Back to School 2022/2023 information for families.
Families are encouraged to complete the daily screening for their child prior to coming to school. self-screening tool
