The school board has posted information about the reopening models for UGDSB elementary and secondary schools. The overviews contain important information including model structure for conventional and remote learning, sample schedules, remote learning expectations and more.

The SWAC (School Within a College) has had another successful year. The 15 students in the program have worked hard during the week to earn credits towards their high school diploma.
They have also had the opportunity to participate in two different dual credit programs: Basic Food Production and Motive Power/Heavy Equipment, which offered in partnership with Conestoga College.
The students have also had the chance to explore the college experience at Doon Campus, ski at Chicopee Ski Resort and rock climb at Camp Brebeuf.
SWAC has provided our students with opportunities outside the traditional classroom setting and helped them explore the college pathway as a future option once they have completed high school.
We had another fantastic group of Dual Credit students from the Upper Grand District School Board this year – 53 students in all. Each week, I had the pleasure of working with each of these students and they just couldn’t say enough about the program. It didn’t seem to matter what time they had to catch their dual credit bus (6:00am for some students from Centre Dufferin DHS) or how much reading they had to do at night, or that some of their tests were worth 30% of their final grade — they absolutely loved it!
