Dear Parents/Guardians:
On Monday Dec. 21, the provincial government announced that schools in Ontario will move temporarily to remote learning following the winter break. Following the announcement, the Ministry of Education confirmed to school boards that all elementary and secondary students will temporarily shift to remote learning starting on January 4th, 2021. UGDSB elementary schools will resume in-person learning on January 11th. I understand that some families will require a device to support student learning from January 4-8. If you currently do not have a device from the UGDSB and require a device, please complete the Google form above by January 1, 2020. Please note that due to the limited number of available Chromebooks, the distribution is being limited to 1 Chromebook per family. Once I know how many Chromebooks are required, an email will then be sent to confirm the date/time and pick-up procedures after January 1, 2021.
