Chers parents,
I hope you are all enjoying the final days of our summer break and that everyone in your family is doing well and is feeling rejuvenated from the nice summer weather. The staff at EJPS are ready and very excited to welcome our young learners back to school on Tuesday, September 6th!
Today’s message will be short with just a few reminders.
- The school day starts at 8:30 AM (supervision starts at 8:15 AM) and ends at 2:50 PM (supervision ends at 3:05).
- Please remember to use the school screening tool and follow any direction given before coming to school https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/ .
- A Parent Information package (digitally) and Student Verification Package (hard copy) will be sent out on the first day of school. Please read through all the information and hand in and fill out and/or sign what is required. It’s a lot….I know!
- All parents will receive a telephone reminder via our automated system on Sunday, September 4th to check their email on Monday, September 5th for an email notification informing them of who their child’s teacher will be.
- Our school is still in need of one paid noon hour supervisor or several folks to share coverage for Monday to Friday at both breaks and an additional back-up paid noon hour supervisor for occasional work. Please contact me at [email protected] if you are interested in joining our team!
- Some folks have trouble pronouncing my last name. A simple trick to remember is that “Cutz” rhymes with “boots”!
Finally, I wanted to express my gratitude to our custodial team, Mr. Sweeney and Mrs. Geensen, for getting our brick and mortar school in ship shape for a new year. I am also very proud to join the EJPS staff who continually inspire me in their efforts to do their best to serve your children in their education and well-being.
