EJPS Week at a Glance (Dec 19 – 22,  Jan 9 – 13)

Chers parents,

It was such a pleasure to see so many of you at our EJ Holiday Extravaganza 2022 and at our EJ School Council Coffee House this past Wednesday. Above all, it was inspiring to see your children participate as presenters and performing artists in our first in-person school holiday concert after a few years of pandemic hiatus. Also, a special shout out to all the teachers for getting our students ready to perform and to the Extravaganza Organizer in Chief, Grade 4 teacher Nancy Anselmini-Lofton, and her students for the concert coordination and tech support. We also cannot forget to thank our School Council team for heading up the basket raffle and serving and providing coffee in between shows and at the after school Coffee House. What a community of helping hands!

The next four days will carry on with learning and some fun activities as we transition into the Winter Break which starts on Dec 23rd and ends on January 8th. We will have four Spirit Days in a row to build up to the start of holidays.

Monday – Wear a pattern

Tuesday – Cozy sweater

Wednesday – Blue and white

Thursday – Cozy clothes/pajamas

In staffing news, we’d like to thank LTO, M Mahler, for his commitment and helpful ways these past seven weeks in the Grade 1 class. On January 9th we will have three new staff members joining us. Mme Kavanagh will take over as an LTO in the Grade 1 class. Mme Smith will take over as an LTO in the Grade 6 class. Mme Shirton-Smith will start her full time contract position at EJPS in the Grade 3\4 class. We wish Mme Owen all the best in her retirement!

Here is a message from the EJ School Council:

The students that missed out on Pizza Day yesterday will be receiving their pizza order on Monday. Going forward if there is a snow day on Pizza Day, ALL pizza orders will be fulfilled on the following Monday.

The EJ School Council thanks all families for their donations towards the Holiday Basket Draw. The school cash online donations will be open until Monday if you have not had the chance to donate!

Enjoy a safe winter break with your families!
