EJPS Week at a Glance (March 6-10)

Chers parents,

Here we go! One more week until our students and staff can enjoy a well deserved March Break. Thank you for all your support with our Dance-A-Thon this week. The students really enjoyed themselves and it’s great that we raised money for our school at the same time. Shout out to our Dance-A-Thon parent committee for bringing that 80’s neon sparkle and fun to the gym!

This week will be our last bucket drumming session with professional drummer, Adam Bowman. The students have really enjoyed this unique opportunity and learned some excellent drumming skills and concepts. Adam was thrilled to work with our students and expressed how impressed he was by their respectful behaviour, great  effort, and sharp musical ears. I still have a few more bucket drumming sessions to wrap up this week and the week after March Break with our youngest students. They have been excellent little drummers and have been filling my own bucket at each and every visit.

Lastly, we wish our Junior Girls and Boys Basketball teams fun and success as they do their best at the tournament next week. Thank you to parent volunteer coach, Mr. Waterfield, and our staff coaches, Mme Shirton-Smith & Mme Prilesnik for developing our teams’ skills at all those early morning practices. Next Friday, we will have a Spirit Assembly to celebrate school successes until this point in the year. It will be a green and yellow Spirit Day!

Below are some important dates:

  • March 9 – Junior Basketball Tournament
  • March 10 – School Assembly & Spirit Day 9:30 AM (Green & Yellow)
  • March 13-17 – MARCH BREAK

Sincerely,

Olivier Cutz (Principal)
