EJPS Week at a Glance (June 5-9)
Chers parents,
I hope your children are enjoying a day off while their teachers are working hard on this PA Day. It’s hard to believe that there are 19 school days left! Who’s counting?? Next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the two first blocks (8:30-10:30 & 11:10 – 12:40) our Grade 3 students will be participating in EQAO assessments. Please avoid booking appointments around those days so we can ensure our students are all present to write the tests. On Friday, we will have Grade 2 to Grade 5 students going to the Children’s Groundwater Festival at Guelph Lake. It will be fun and educational but also a little quieter at the school that day for those of us staying back.
This past week was a busy one. Our Grade 6s completed their EQAO assessments with a serious and determined attitude. Well done! The week ended with Kindergarten on their first big field trip to Mountsberg. If you volunteered at the school or on a field trip in any way this year, we will be sending you an invitation to our revived Volunteer Appreciation Tea on Tuesday, June 13th at 10:30 AM in the library. Our staff will prepare treats for you in your honour and some students will be doing some performances to start off the gathering. We’ve had so many volunteers this year it’s challenging to keep track! If we missed sending you an invite please just show up. We look forward to seeing you there!
Moving in the fall? Please inform the office by email ([email protected]) or call 519-763-7374. Also, the coming week will be another hot one. Please pack water bottles, sunscreen, and hats for your children.
