EJPS Week at a Glance (Nov 27-Dec 1)

Chers parents,

It was so nice to run into many of you during this week of parent-teacher interviews. We are grateful for your support and partnership in your child’s education. Never hesitate to reach out should you have any questions or concerns.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but….Old Man Winter is here and we have snow in the forecast! So, be prepared for any inclement weather days by following the link below. *Please note: Refunds will not be given in the event of a student’s absence. If there is a No Bus Day on a Thursday, the pizza order will be cancelled for that day and the order will be served the following Monday.

This week, we had an incredible Anti-Bullying Awareness and Prevention Assembly on Wednesday thanks to Mme Anselmini-Lofton and her wonderful grade 4 students. They set the tone for an impressive week of learning with classroom activities building our capacity to reduce bullying behaviour in our school. One thing I’d like to bring to everyone’s attention and I am hoping to have parent support on this. Lately, we have been having students engage in unsafe and disrespectful behaviour in both the boys and girls washrooms by the front office. Behaviours such as clogging toilets, drawing on walls, throwing wet hygiene items on the ceiling, creating puddles, etc… These are all breaches of the code of conduct. Please have a discussion with your children and encourage them to not initiate or to not follow any of this kind of behaviour. They can report any incidents anonymously to their teacher or the office so we can put an end to this. Mr Sweeney has much work to do around the school and we appreciate everything he does to keep us healthy and safe. This kind of behaviour is not only disrespectful to him but it also does not reflect the values of this wonderful community.
