EJPS Week at a Glance (Jan 29-Feb 2)
Chers parents,
February is actually here! Where has the time gone? This week will be the start to some exciting learning for our students. Throughout the month of February our teachers will weave learning and make connections in their lessons that relate to Black Heritage, Brilliance, and Future’s Month. We will have announcements in the morning and visuals throughout the school to celebrate the accomplishments of Black Canadians and other Black individuals from around the world.Thank you to Mme Kavanaugh and the EJ Equity Eagles for their support and leadership!
In other news, this year, National Sweater Day is on Thursday February 1, 2024: https://schools.wwf.ca/events/primary-sweater-day/ . Since 2010, over a million Canadians have participated in National Sweater Day at their schools, workplaces and homes. It is a day to help raise awareness about climate change and modify behaviours around energy consumption. Schools can also earn EcoSchool Stewardship points for participating! Additionally, we will turn down our school’s thermostat by 2 degrees Celsius.
Lastly, we need some pre-screened volunteers to help with outdoor yard supervision from 10:10 AM to 10:50 AM and 12:30 PM to 1:10 PM on the back field on the following days: Jan 31st, Feb 1st, Feb 2nd, and Feb 21st. If you are interested in helping us out on these days and at those times please contact me at [email protected].

- Jan 9-26 > JK Registration
- Feb 1 > Dental Screening
- Feb 5 > Gr 2,3,4,5 Police Presentations
- Feb 15 > Term 1 Report Cards available
- Feb 19 > Family Day
- March 11-15 > March Break
** Note: If there is a No Bus Day on a Tuesday, Subway orders will be cancelled for that day and served the next day, Wednesday. If there is a No Bus Day on a Thursday, Pizza orders will be cancelled for the day and served the following Monday.
