Dear Centre Wellington Families,
I am writing to inform you that the school responded to a medical emergency earlier this morning. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the school to provide support.
Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety and privacy of all students and staff, we temporarily delayed the transition from Period 1 to Period 2. Period 2 was delayed by approximately 20 minutes. This was a Hold and Secure or a Lockdown.
We would like to thank our students and staff for their cooperation and calm response as the situation was managed. The well-being of those involved remains our priority, and appropriate supports are in place.
