Remembrance Day provides an important opportunity for us to pause as a school community and honour the men and women who have served Canada, both in times of conflict and in the pursuit of peace.

At Centre Wellington District High School, we will recognize Remembrance Day in two ways this year.

On Tuesday, November 10, we will hold our school Remembrance Day assemblies, providing students and staff with an opportunity to gather, reflect, and pay tribute alongside members of our veteran community. We are grateful to the veterans who take the time to join us and share in this important tradition.

On Wednesday, November 11, we will once again mark Remembrance Day as a school community. At 11:00 a.m., we will play Reveille, observe a moment of silence, and conclude with the playing of Rouse as we honour those who have served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Remembrance Day is a solemn occasion, and we recognize that it can bring forward a range of emotions and reflections. We encourage families to take some time to speak with their student about the significance of the day and the importance of remembering those who have served our country.

Lest We Forget.
