Hello Arbour Vista Families,

Parent Teacher Interviews

Interviews will take place Thursday evening and Friday during the day to discuss student progress. Please be sure to use the front doors of the school for entry and all interviews will be held in student classrooms, unless otherwise shared. As a reminder, adults are not permitted to use student washrooms. Single use washrooms are available for adults on each floor (lower floor beside staffroom and upper floor close to room 208-209).

If requesting a virtual meeting, please be sure to make that request with the classroom teacher, so that a link can be shared in advance of your designated time.

Gr 7 Vaccination Clinic

This is a reminder that the Public Health Nurses will be at our school on Tuesday November 25th for the Grade 7 vaccine clinic.

If you have not completed the online consent, please do so now by following the link below. A consent should be completed for each child even if they are not receiving their vaccines at school.

Online Consent

Please remind your child to dress comfortably in a short-sleeved shirt or something easy to roll up to the shoulder, and to eat a good breakfast.

If you have questions regarding these vaccines or require assistance completing the consent form, please contact Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health at 1-800-265-7293 ext. 7006 to speak with a public health nurse.

Preparing for Cold and Icy Conditions

Please ensure that your students are dressed appropriately for the weather.

Cold temperatures, wind chill, and freezing precipitation can increase risks of frostbite, hypothermia, slips and falls, and transportation delays. Children – especially younger age groups – lose heat more quickly and may not recognize early symptoms of cold-related illness.

dancED

They are here!!! The dancED team is back and ready to get our Arbour Vista students dancing. Mark your calendars for December 12th for the grande finale! The theme this year is Icons, Legends and Superstars. There will be 2 showtimes for viewing. We kindly ask that families with a last name beginning with letters A-L  come to the 11:00 am show and that families with a last name beginning with letters M-Z come to the 1:15pm showing. More information to come in the coming weeks!

Lost and Found

If you are missing clothing items at home please encourage your children to look through the lost and found..  If you are in the school to pick up your children please feel free to take a look while you wait.

Message from School Council

Cookie Treat for a Good Cause- School Council is pleased to offer the chance to order a Snowman Cookie Treat for students to enjoy on December 15th. All proceeds will support those in need through the 12 Days of giving initiative. Order on School Cash Online by December 1st.

🎬 Get Ready, Juniors- It’s Movie Night! 🎬

The School Council is excited to announce our first-ever Movie Night exclusively for our Junior students (Grades 4–6)! The juniors have spoken, the votes are in, and their chosen movie, The Peanuts Movie, will hit the big screen on December 4th.

Doors open at 5:30 PM with the movie starting at 6pm sharp.

Instead of an admission fee, we invite families to bring an item for Arbour Vista’s 10 Days of Giving and help spread kindness in our community.

Bring your comfiest seating- lawn chairs, bean bags, blankets, or even a cozy sleeping bag- and settle in for a fun, family-friendly night. Snacks will be available for purchase on site.

Please remember that a parent or guardian must remain on site for the duration of the event. To ensure we meet fire code requirements and create a special experience just for our Junior students, we’re unfortunately unable to accommodate siblings at this event. Thank you for your understanding and support. Please see the movie poster here: Event Info Link

We can’t wait to kick off this new tradition and share a magical movie night with our Junior students.

See you there- lights, camera, action! 🎥

Please RSVP by November 28, 2025 for each child attending: RSVP Link
