Welcome Back, Arbour Vista families!
We hope you had a chance to relax and enjoy time with family and friends over the holiday season. Warm wishes to those who celebrated Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa. The start of a new year always brings a sense of renewal. Students have settled into their routines and built strong connections with their classmates. It’s wonderful to be back, and we’re excited to reconnect with everyone this week.
Faith Days During January
Acknowledging and celebrating days of faith is an important aspect of many religious traditions and cultures. Different faiths have their own holy days, festivals, and observances that hold significance for their followers. During the month of January, please see the days that will be acknowledged and celebrated by some members of our school community. Please note that there is diversity within faith communities and that no one list can represent all faith traditions or observances.
Please note that in January we also acknowledge and share information with students about the following days of Significance: Tamil Heritage Month, Twelfth Night, Feast of the Epiphany (Dia de los Reyes), Magi, No Name-Calling Week, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Lincoln Alexander Day, International Day of Education, World Day for African and Afro Descendant Culture, Mahayana New Year, Family Literacy Day, Lunar New Year and the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of Victims of the Holocaust and National day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack and Action Against Islamophobia
