Hello Arbour Vista families,
Message from School Council - Grade JK-3 Family Math Night
School Council is excited to host Math Night for our Primary students (JK–Grade 3) on Tuesday, February 10, from 6:00–7:00 p.m.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help make this event a success. Support is needed for event set-up and to serve as station helpers throughout the evening. You do not need to have a child in the participating grades to volunteer. Any parent/caregiver of a child attending EAV who has a valid VSC on file with the school is welcome to help.
Even if you are only able to support for 30 minutes, your help would be greatly appreciated. The more volunteers we have, the more parents will be able to rotate and support one another -giving everyone time to enjoy the evening with their children.
If you are able to assist, please complete the Google Form provided.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Holocaust Presentation
We are pleased to inform you that on January 28th our school will host a special guest presenter David Kaufman. David will deliver an engaging, age-appropriate presentation to our Grade 6, 7 and 8 students, sharing his family’s history during the Holocaust and its lasting lessons.
Student Safety
Student safety is always our number one priority. It is important to note that using the bus lane, before and during school is not permitted. We have a collective responsibility to ensure buses can come and go and that emergency vehicles have access to the front of the school at all times.
Stopping on the side of the street out front of the school is also not permitted, as per the posted signage. This blocks the flow of traffic and can pose safety concerns. Please drop students off in the Kiss N’ Ride lane in the parking lot or park and walk in with your student(s). Sharing this messaging with anyone picking up or dropping off your student (s) is appreciated.
*This message does not apply to parents with pre- arranged drop off and pick up arrangements to support students with accessibility needs, or if picking up a child who is very ill.
