Hello Arbour Vista families,
As the school year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. With just two weeks left, we’re looking forward to a variety of fun events and meaningful learning experiences still planned for our students.
Reminders:
Last Day of School: The last day of school is June 25th.
Return of Materials: Kindly ensure that all school materials, including library books and textbooks, are returned by June 13th.
Treats: Kindly remember that treats, freezies etc.. should not be sent in to school for class consumption. Any special events or treats need to be pre-planned with the classroom teacher to allow appropriate notification to families.
Distribution of Paper Report Cards in Kindergarten to Grade 8
We would like to inform you of an update to the delivery of report cards, as per recent changes by the Ministry of Education.
Beginning with the June 2026 reporting period, all students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 will receive a paper copy of their end-of-term report cards. This practice will continue moving forward for both the January/February and June reporting periods. This change is intended to ensure that all parents and guardians have direct access to information about their child’s progress and achievement.
Report cards will continue to be available online, in addition to the paper copy.
Please note that progress reports, issued in the fall, will continue to be provided electronically only. Printed copies of progress reports can be requested through the school office.
Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
PD Day- June 26th
Please see the attached agenda for the Elementary PD Day scheduled on June 26th.
Free Summer Math Practice for Students Finishing Grades 1–3
Your child now has access to Zorbits, a fun, game-based math learning program designed to help students strengthen their math skills and build confidence. Students will meet engaging characters, explore new worlds, and complete exciting challenges—all while learning and applying math.
Zorbits can be accessed on a computer, laptop, or Chromebook at play.clearmath.com, or through the Zorbits app on iPad.
Please contact your child's classroom teacher for login information and instructions on how to get started. We encourage students to enjoy Zorbits throughout the summer to keep their math learning growing!
Talent Show
Arbour Vista is excited to present its annual Talent Show on Thursday, June 25th. We will be hosting two performances for families to attend:
Families with last names beginning with A–L are invited to the 9:00 AM show. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 8:40 AM.
Families with last names beginning with M–Z are invited to the 11:00 AM show. Please arrive no earlier than 10:40 PM.
We look forward to celebrating the incredible talents of our students with you!
Plans of Care
Current Plans of Care were sent home with students who already have one at the beginning of June.. Please make sure that you return the required paperwork as soon as possible. Please note that unless the paperwork is received, all medication will need to be picked up in the main office on or prior to the last day of school. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mme Languedoc, Vice- Principal.
E-Scooters and E-Bikes
With the warm weather returning, it is wonderful to see more of our students choosing to walk or wheel to and from school. We are sharing the following information regarding e-scooters and e-bikes for awareness.
Please note, e-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted on school property for students under the age of 16. This is in line with Ontario legislation which prohibits the use of e-scooter and e-bikes for youth under 16 years old.
E-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted to be stored inside school buildings.
Students are welcome to ride standard bikes or scooters to and from school, always wearing a helmet and following road safety rules.
Have a great week!
