Hello Arbour Vista families,
Happy Halloween to those who celebrate. We are looking forward to seeing the costumes of those who choose to wear one. There has been a buzz amongst the students about what they will be wearing.
PICTURE DAY
Picture Day took place on October 23. Not to worry; if your child missed picture day, photo retakes have been scheduled for the morning of November 20, 2024.

~ A NOTE FROM YOUR EAV PARENT COUNCIL~
How have your family kitchen dance parties been going?
As we gear up for our Dance-a-Thon on November 7th, we want to share a few important reminders.
Pledge envelopes are due on November 4th and donations through School Cash Online are due by November 7th. So, do the “Running Man” to get those donations! “Moonwalk” to your computer to submit your pledges, and don’t forget to “twist” your family’s arm to join in the next time you want to bust a move to practice! Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support our DancEd program while providing a fun and vibrant environment for your kids.
You can pre-order a variety of delicious snacks for your kids through School Cash Online—the deadline is tomorrow (Tuesday, October 29th)! It’s the perfect way to keep everyone fueled and ready to dance while supporting our Grade 8 graduation fund.
Thank you for your support and excitement—let’s make this Dance-a-Thon a fantastic success together!
TREATS
This year, Diwali and Halloween coincide, making for a festive season filled with significance and sweet treats! However, to ensure the safety of all our students, we kindly request that no treats be brought to school for distribution.
We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping our school community safe and enjoyable for everyone.
LATE ARRIVALS
Teachers begin attendance immediately upon entering the school. If your child arrives at school after the bell, please have your son/daughter enter through the front doors to pick up a late slip, as the office will register their attendance
ACCESSIBILITY & EQUITY
There may be times throughout the year when we ask parents to send in money to cover the cost of field trips, pizza, special events, etc. We understand that for some families, these funds may cause financial hardship. We never want a child to miss out due to financial hardship. If you are ever in this situation, please contact the school, and we will arrange to have the school cover the cost.
PICK UP
Thank you for informing the school when you will pick up your child for an appointment. The end of the day is very busy in the office. If you are picking up your child before dismissal for an appointment, call the office before 2:20 to ensure that the message is received in time.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE (PIC)
PIC will be hosting a Parent/Community Event on November 25, 2024.
Please share the below poster with your School Council and Parent Community.
Have a fabulous week!
