Arbour Vista PS

Good Morning Arbour Vista families,

It’s hard to believe we’ve reached our final weekly update for May! This season tends to get quite busy, so be sure to stay informed about important deadlines and upcoming events by reading the details below. Let’s finish the month on a high note, looking forward to the excitement of our Family Fun Fair this Thursday evening!

GRADE 6 EQAO

Our Grade 6 students will begin their EQAO testing on Monday May 26th. The students will participate in 2 blocks of testing Monday-Thursday. Please  try to avoid being late and booking appointments between 9:00am -12:00pm, to mitigate distractions and interruptions. We know students will do an awesome job!

FUN FAIR

Our Family Fun Fair is fast approaching. It’s hard to believe that it is happening THIS THURSDAY, May 29th from 5:30pm -7:30pm.  We cannot wait to see you all.

Advanced Harvey’s orders are now closed, but there will be “Fo Cheezy” Food Truck and Harvey’s BBQ on site for any additional orders. If you would like to lend a hand or run a station please reach out.

Please bring you toonies for on site purchases of ice cream treats CASH ONLY

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR

We are excited to announce an EAV Scholastic Book Fair on Thursday, May 29th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the gym during the Family Fun Night.

Funds raised through this book fair will help the school purchase new books, literacy resources and enhance our home reading program.

Credit, Debit and Cash will be accepted.

LEGO LEGO LEGO

Do you have extra Lego pieces at home that are no longer being used? We’re collecting Lego donations for École Arbour Vista to support student learning and creativity in the classroom!

Bring your donations to the Fun Fair on May 29th — a collection box will be available at the Book Fair.

No donation is too big or too small — all Lego is welcome! Thank you for helping us build something great, brick by brick!

GARDENING CLUB

The Gardening Club has been working hard to have their plants ready for sale at the Family Fun Fair.  Don’t miss out on the opportunity to purchase some plants for your gardens! Funds will go towards  greening our school property, maintenance, and tools for yard work.

LOST & FOUND

All items in the lost and found will be packed up and donated at the end of the week.

Please refrain from allowing students to pile items at the end of the hallway.

PA DAY

Please be reminded that June 6th is a PA Day for staff. As a result, there is no school for students. Please see the attached agenda for staff.

Have a great week
