Chers parents,
It’s hard to believe that there are 24 school days left! We just had a busy and wet four day week. Thank you to those parents who came along for our FDK field trip. Our Jr Track & Field Day will be moved to Monday, May 26 due to the rain this week. Thank you to our volunteers who have been on standby! We also had a successful lockdown drill earlier this week. In fact, all of our safety drills have been completed for the year. Thank you to our staff and students for upholding high standards during these important exercises.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday our Grade 6s will be participating in EQAO. We wish them a successful mission as they demonstrate their skills and understanding of grade level literacy and numeracy curriculum. Please avoid booking appointments around those EQAO days if your child is in Grade 3 or 6 so we can ensure our students are all present and on time in the morning to write the tests.
Speaking of EQAO, we need 4 volunteers to be scribes for some Grade 3 students who require this accommodation to write the language portion of the EQAO assessment. If you can commit to any of the following times we would greatly appreciate your support! If you are able to help us please contact me by email at olivier.cutz@ugdsb.on.ca .
