EJPS Week at a Glance (June 2 - 6)

Chers parents,

It’s hard to believe that there are 18 school days left!  Who's counting?? Next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the two first blocks (8:30-10:30 & 11:10 - 12:40) our Grade 3 students will be participating in EQAO assessments. Please avoid booking appointments around those days so we can ensure our students are all present and ARRIVE ON TIME  to write the tests. This coming Friday is a PA Day, so it will be a short week for our students. JUNE 2025 poster for elementary schools

This past week was a busy one. Our Grade 6s completed their EQAO assessments with a serious and determined attitude. Well done! All of our Junior students participated and had a great time at our Jr Track & Field Day. Thank you Mme Ammon, staff and parent volunteers! On Thursday, our bus patrollers went to the Guelph Bus Patrollers Movie Day. Thank you to Mme Prilesnik for organizing and supporting our bus patrollers all year long. The week ended with a bang as all students participated in Jump Rope 4 Heart. Thank you parent volunteers and Mme Roberts as well as all those who supported this cause!

If you volunteered at the school or on a field trip in any way this year, you are invited to our Volunteer Appreciation Tea on Tuesday, June 17th at 10:30 AM in the library. Our staff will prepare treats for you in your honour and some students will be doing some performances to start off the gathering. We’ve had so many volunteers this year it’s challenging to keep track! Please let us know you are coming by filling in the form below

As a reminder, the month of June is Pride Month. All schools in the UGDSB fly the Pride Flag during the month of June. The UGDSB supports 2SLGBTQIA+ staff, students and their families by celebrating the joy of identity and centering 2SLGBTQIA+ histories, contributions and excellence in our learning and work communities.

Lastly, we are looking for two recess and nutrition break paid supervisors to join our team for next year. Would you like to make a difference at our school and help keep our students safe? The paid position requires you to help supervise students outside and inside the school from 10:30 AM to 11:10 AM and 12:30 PM to 1:10 PM. Please contact me at olivier.cutz@ugdsb.on.ca if you are interested in applying.
