FUNDRAISERS:
SCHOOL COUNCIL - Rheo Thompson
John Galt School Council is launching our second annual Rheo Thompson chocolate fundraiser and we would love for you to participate! Orders can be submitted on school cash online or by submitting the paper order form that was sent home with the catalogue, along with cash or a cheque made payable to John Galt Public School.
Orders must be submitted no later than Monday November 9th.
Orders will be available for pick up at the school Monday December 7th from 2:45-4pm. Any orders not picked up during this time will be sent home with students later that week.
All proceeds from chocolate sales will go towards funding John Galt's new playground!
PRIMARY TEAM - MacMillan’s Frozen Foods
We are excited to launch a MacMillan’s Frozen Food Fundraiser in support of our Primary Team (Kindergarten–Grade 3)! Funds raised will support end-of-year field trips and classroom resources and materials.
Choose from a variety of delicious products, including scoop & bake cookies and muffins, desserts, entertaining favourites, crispy cravings, and soups.
Order Deadline: November 9
How to Order Online
Visit MacMillan’s Fundraising.
Select Shop Our Products and add items to your cart.
At checkout, select John Galt Public School from the dropdown menu.
Complete all required fields and payment information.
Friends and family ordering on your behalf should enter your name in the Classroom/Teacher field.
Paper order forms will also be sent home and must be returned to the school office by November 9. Late paper orders cannot be accepted.
Order Pick-Up: Monday, December 7, from 2:45–4:00 p.m.
All frozen products must be picked up during this window, as the school cannot store orders in a freezer. Please mark your calendar!
Exception: Mitchell’s dry soup mixes may be picked up during the designated window or sent home with your student, provided your order contains only soup mixes.
Thank you for supporting our Primary students and classrooms at John Galt PS! It’s a wonderful opportunity to stock your freezer for winter and the holidays while supporting our school community.
Attendance – Please Call School Rather Than Email
To report a student absence, we kindly ask that you call the school at 519-824-4760, ext. 221, and leave a message or speak directly with Jeanette Tavares.
To help us ensure absences are recorded accurately and promptly, please report all absences by phone rather than by email.
Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support!
Halloween at JGPS – Friday, October 30th

Classroom Reminders
Homeroom teachers may determine when students change into their costumes.
Please review the Costume Do’s and Don’ts below with your class.
Remind students that dressing up is entirely optional, and we respect and celebrate everyone’s choice.
Any costume-related concerns on the day will be addressed by the homeroom teacher.
Costume Do’s
