Due to inclement weather, UGDSB schools and offices in Zone/Division 3 (North Wellington) are closed today. Staff and students should shift to remote working where possible. The closure will impact the PA Day and Parent-Teacher Interviews in North Wellington schools today. Elementary Parent Teacher Interviews will not be able to proceed in person in Zone 3. Any interviews scheduled for today may continue to be held virtually, over the phone, or rescheduled for a later date.

Our school celebrates Halloween with costume dress up or by wearing black and orange if a student chooses to participate. Costumes should not include accessories such as weapons, or masks. Please have regular clothes available for your child, as they may need to change out of their costumes part way through the day. Class specific activities may be communicated as applicable by your child’s teacher.

We are currently seeking public input on Policy 518 - Students with Life-Threatening Medical Conditions.
This policy conveys the board’s commitment to supporting students with prevalent medical conditions, such as asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes and epilepsy, to ensure they have full access to school in a safe, inclusive, and healthy environment. This includes fostering well-being and empowering students to manage their medical needs to the best of their ability.

Our annual fundraising goal is to raise $1200.00 this year on behalf our school community.
We have had many families and extended families participate in the past, realizing the
importance of cancer research and also supporting many individuals (i.e., family members, friends,
neighbours or colleagues) that have battled this disease. Past fundraising and research has allowed
more individuals to have a positive outcome from their ongoing battle with cancer. This year we are
fortunate to have a student who has happily, been able to "ring the bell" very recently!
We look forward to walking with him this year!
Please consider supporting our school's Terry Fox run this year.

Paper fundraising forms are also available and will be distributed to families.
