We are thrilled to share some exciting news—work on the installation of a brand new playground at OC will begin on May 29th, 2025!
This much-anticipated project is the result of tremendous collaboration and support. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our School Council and the entire school community for their incredible efforts in fundraising and making this dream a reality. Your dedication and generosity have made a meaningful impact, and we are so grateful.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank Parks Kreation Inc., the company responsible for the original playground, for honouring the warranty on equipment that did not meet its expected lifespan. Their commitment to quality and their partnership have made this replacement possible.
The new playground will be similar to the previous structure, with a few exciting new features to enhance play and enjoyment for our students. Thanks to our recent fundraising efforts, we are also able to include accessible features to ensure inclusive play for all children, as well as set aside resources for future maintenance to keep the playground safe and fun for years to come.
Construction is expected to take approximately three weeks, and while we hope to have it completed before the end of the school year, we appreciate your patience as the work progresses. We know our students are going to love the new space once it’s ready!
In the meantime, we ask all students and families to stay clear of the construction zone, which will be safely fenced off during installation. Please help us reinforce this message with your children to ensure everyone’s safety.
