What an amazing time we had at our Bike Roadeo on Friday! Thank you to Ms. Manning for organizing this exciting event. Congrats to all of our bikers for their participation and commitment to safety. A big thank you to Ms. Chambers and the gardening club for continuing to work on our front entrance and garden.
June will be a busy month at PCPS. We will be starting it off by raising the Pride flag early Monday morning as a recognition of Pride month. It is also National Indigenous History month, a month to continue learning and work in Indigenous Education and Reconciliation, and to learn about celebrating the histories, cultures and futures of indigenous Peoples.
Our school is participating in Jump Rope for Heart! Our school is proud to be participating in Heart & Stroke’s Jump Rope for Heart starting on Thursday, June 18th. Students will learn EASY healthy habits and raise funds to support lifesaving heart and brain research.
Help us reach our fundraising goal by donating or registering to create your own fundraising page to share with family and friends. Visit our school’s fundraising page to get started: https://jumpropeforheart.crowdchange.ca/116251

Please take a look at the linked document for helpful language around nutrition for younger students: Nutrition - Elementary
Teens are starting to make more of their own food choices. They may choose snacks, make simple meals, or buy food when they are out. The way adults talk about food can help or make this harder. Please take a look at the linked document for helpful language around nutrition for older students: Nutrition - Secondary
