Dear PCPS Community,

And just like that, we are well into October! We have had a busy and engaging few weeks of school filled with many different activities. Students have represented PCPS well at our Soccer tournament, and our Snack leadership program is up and running. Each classroom has a cooler and students deliver snacks, fresh fruit and vegetables daily. Thank you to Ms. Morrell and school council member Sam Stevenson for your help with this initiative.

Our fall food drive has been up and going. Please help us support our community by donating to our Food Drive. Ms. Grist is collecting items in her room.

We are pleased to share that our TV Video announcements are up and running in our front foyer! Here is what is displayed this week. Virtual Announcements Oct. 8

Only Cheese and Gluten Free Cheese Pizza are available. The pizza complies with nutritional guidelines set out by the Board. Once the order is submitted, no changes can be made. Must be purchased for the full session. IF YOUR CHILD IS ABSENT, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN, WE DO NOT STORE FOOD FOR CHILDREN. NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Bikes and E-scooters: We have been reminding students that bikes are to be walked off of school property and helmets are to be worn when riding a bike or non-motorized scooter.

Clear vision is important to success in the classroom. It is recommended that all children have a comprehensive eye exam before entering school and every year afterwards. Annual eye exams for children and youth under the age of 20 are covered by OHIP.

Here is some important information about the importance of Eye Health one-page information note

Please note, e-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted on school property for students under the age of 16. This is in line with Ontario legislation which prohibits the use of e-scooter and e-bikes for youth under 16 years old.

E-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted to be stored inside school buildings.

To help keep parks, sidewalks, roads and trails safe, the county of Dufferin has banned all E-Scooters on town property. Please share the following information and links with your communities:
