PCPS

Good Evening, Parkinson Centennial Families!

Last Monday, we had a wonderful Remembrance Day Assembly that included music, videos, and students speaking about the importance of Remembrance Day.  Thank you to Mrs. Lowe for the direction and the students who participated in our event for helping us to commemorate this important event.

Looking ahead to this week, we will be focussing on various anti-bullying activities in age-appropriate ways as a part of Bullying Prevention and Awareness week.

Progress Reports and Parent/Teacher Interviews:

Your child's Progress Report is now available through the Parent Portal.   Please use this link to access the report: https://www.ugdsb.ca/parents/connected/ (you will need to use your email address that is on file at the school to access the portal).  We sent home a paper copy of the report, but please note that we will be moving to using the digital system to access reports in the future.

The Interview Booking System to schedule a parent-teacher interview is now open.  To schedule an interview  please use the following link: https://webapp.ugdsb.on.ca/pti/Account/Login  (you will need your child's OEN number that can be found at the top of their report card).  This portal will be open until November 27th at noon.  If you must change your interview time after that, please email your child's teacher directly.  Interviews will take place on November 28th and 29th.

Please call the school at 519-941-2461 if you have any questions.

Parent Council

We will be having our November 18 Parent Council meeting in the Library at 7:00 pm.   We will also offer an option to join virtually.  Please go to our website calendar to view the link to the Google Meet.   We also have been adding to our School Council page on our school website.

Food Drive

For the month of November, we will be collecting non-perishable items for the Orangeville Food bank. The collection starts Friday, November 1st - Friday, November 29th. Ms. Grist’s class plans to display donations in the main glass case and put posters around the school.
