Hello PCPS Families!
Good morning PCPS community, this week is supposed to be very cold through Wednesday. We will continue to monitor temperatures and wind chills and keep students inside as appropriate. Thank you for sending your children to school with warm winter clothing. It has also been great to see all the fun and cooperative play students have been having outside.
School council has been working hard to plan a community event for the Parkinson Centennial families. Please watch for more detailed information coming soon for the Parkinson Winter Warm Up event on February 8th, 2025.
School Council will be meeting tonight, January 20 at 7:00 virtually. The agenda is located on our School Council area of the school website. Please see our website for log-in information, it is located in the event section.
Please the note the Fundraising information below:
Popcorn Is Back! We are pleased to announce popcorn will be sold once again this year, starting January 22! On Wednesdays and Fridays during the second nutritional break (while quantities last), the intermediate students will be selling single-serving-sized bags of flavoured popcorn. Farm to Table Canada offers five deliciously flavoured, locally sourced varieties: butter and salt, white cheddar, dill pickle, sweet and salty, and salt and vinegar! The cost for purchasing these sensational bags of popcorn is $2 per bag. Bags are 25g (approx. 2 cups) in size. Proceeds will go towards funding intermediate trips throughout the year. Students can bring cash with them to school to purchase. Thank you for your support!
Battery Blitz at PCPS!!! PCPS is gearing up for another round of battery collection! Please bring in dead batteries the week of January 20th. Your efforts ensure fewer batteries enter the landfills and contaminate healthy ecosystems. We are happy to collect most household batteries. We do not accept: computer batteries, car batteries, or rechargeable batteries. Students will collect batteries from each class over the course of the week. Thank you for helping us with this important eco initiative!
