Good evening Mustang Families,
It was another excellent week here at PMPS! I cannot believe we are in the last few weeks of school. Where did the year go? Teachers are working hard to keep routines in place and ensure consistency, as well as celebrating a school year of hard work. We are not counting down, but rather making the last days count!
Our school completed our annual PMPS Compass Run in support of the Compass Run Church. Did you know that year after year, the Compass Run donates $6,00o to our school’s nutrition program? Our finalists at the Bike Roadeo did a wonderful job representing our school this past weekend at the Orangeville wide event. Congratulations to all of our finalists and to Mrs. Mikulik who facilitated our participation. This Friday, our school is hosting it’s annual Jump Rope for Heart event. If you help support heart research, please see below. Thank you.
Did you know that PMPS is fortunate to have a Child and Youth Worker for 4 days a week. One of her duties includes doing presentations with students from kindergarten to grade 8 to ensure that we are being proactive and teaching children effective strategies. Our CYC completed over 85 presentations this school year about a variety of topics which included: Zones of Regulation, handling big feelings, classroom expectations, being an upstander, perseverance, being a friend, personal space, stealing, fair vs equal, golden rule, bullying, kindness, power of words, healthy relationships, conflict resolution, abuse prevention, mental health and self care, size of the problem, safe hands, end of year changes, and plus guest presenters including Kids Help Phone, Get Real x2, CMHA, and Family Transition Place. Wow! If you see our CYC, Tania please make sure to say ‘thank you’ for her hard work.

Support to Access Digital Report Cards for Parents/Guardians : To support upcoming report cards at the end of June, The Upper Grand District School Board has an online parent portal called Parent ConnectED. Parents/guardians are able to access their children's report cards digitally through this portal. To assist with access and support any technical challenges that families might experience, the UGDSB has created a support website for Parent ConnectED found here: UGDSB Report Card Support. This is also posted on our school website.
Within this website there is support on the following topics:
How to create a parent portal account
How to access report cards
A list of links to schools report card websites
The parent-teacher interview booking process
Information on 18+ students granting parental access
What to do if you forgot your password
