We hope you had a wonderful weekend! Looks like patio season is still on with this beautiful weather. Students are starting to leave their clothing outside. Please check the lost and found and we will remind students.
Student safety: A reminder that supervision doesn’t start until 8:25am in the mornings and students should not be dropped off earlier for their safety as they are unsupervised. Please do not drop students off or pick up in the staff parking lot for safety as cars are entering and exiting. Please use the front kiss and ride area for pick up and drop off.
Boundary review info- The attached notice advises that the Final Recommendation Report is released and will be presented to the Finance & Facilities Committee on Sep. 16th.

Due to the meeting scheduled, we will reschedule our first school council meeting that also includes elections for positions. Our first school council meeting is Thurs. Sept 18 at 6:00-7:30pm in the library. We welcome all parents to our school council meetings and the goal is to help support the school and contribute to the education of our students.
Pizza volunteers needed- We are starting to get our food programs organized and need parent volunteers to assist with pizza on Tuesday from 12:30-1:15 ish. It arrives around 12:30 and then needs to be sorted into classes. Students in primary get pizza delivered to the class and in junior they come down to get their pizza for the class. Then intermediate gets delivered around 1pm and it needs to be sorted for them and they pick up. We also do pizza sales. If you are able to assist and have a vulnerable sector screening, please contact Bianca Chambers biancawarkus@gmail.com. If you require a vulnerable sector screening to contact Mrs. Aziz.
Upcoming Dates:
Terry Fox Walk - Friday September 19th - We will be walking through the Conservation area as a school, leaving around 11:15. Please encourage children to dress appropriately for the walk in comfortable shoes and a T-shirt. Donations can be made on schoolcashonline.com
Book Fair - September 22-25 We look forward to showcasing great books from Scholastic that can be purchased.
Rowan's Law Day - Wednesday September 24th -wear purple to show support for concussion awareness
Open House - Thursday, September 25th 5:30-7pm. Meet our amazing staff. Please kindly be mindful that staff want to meet and greet all parents and keeping these conversations short helps to ensure all families can meet their teachers.
Truth and Reconciliation Week - September 22-26 with Orange Shirt Day Friday Sept. 26th wear orange to show your support and awareness of residential schools and honour the children and families who survived residential schools.
Choir sings at the Guelph Storm Game - Friday September 26th Please join and see the awesome choir sing! Merci Mme Rafalowski for organizing this great opportunity for our students and families! A reminder tickets are available for purchase on schoolcashonline until tomorrow Sept 16th .
