This fall we are launching the UGDSB Family Portal to all families in the board. Some families may already have access to the Family Portal as it was soft-launched last year. IEP’s will be accessible on Wednesday on the family portal. The UGDSB Family Portal puts your child’s school information in one secure place. See bus updates, IEPs, School Cash Online, and more—anytime. It’s easy to use, with single sign-on for many tools (and we’re adding more). Get started: https://family.ugdsb.on.ca/ Need help? Please see this FAQ or contact your school office for support.

RCPS and your school council are proud to partner with JD Sweid Foods again.  Order forms have been sent home with each student and school cash online opened Oct 1st.  All orders need to be submitted by Sunday Oct 19th with a planned delivery for Thursday Nov 6th between 3:00-5:00pm at the schools front entrance.  Questions, requests for a soft copy of the order form or alternate arrangements for pick up can be made by sending an email to a member of the school council at rcpsfundraising2.0@gmail.com.  Thank you for your continued support and helping us reach our goal of selling 250 boxes to raise funds for additional recess equipment and to support our school’s playground reserve fund!

Halloween-We invite students to wear school appropriate costumes (no weapons, masks or scary costumes) or dress in orange and black if they choose for Hallowe’en on Friday, Oct 31st. Staff will share programs and activities in their individual classrooms. All students are welcome to participate and please let your child’s teacher know if your child doesn’t participate in Hallowe’en as alternate programming will be provided to ensure inclusion.   It is our responsibility to ensure that school community members avoid using identities and cultures as costumes. This includes appropriative costumes/cultural stereotypes (i.e. cultural garments), body-shaming and objectifying costumes. Such costumes perpetuate stereotypes and can cause harm that can further marginalize and oppress community members. If you are unsure, please contact your child’s teacher.
