Good morning RCPS families,
Please see the following updates for our final week.
Food Drive:
Thank you RCPS families for your generosity as we help feed families in need over the holidays. We collected 908 items which is 42 boxes for our food drive.
A special thank you to Mrs. Benstead and her students for tallying, sorting and collecting the items.
Food items: A final reminder that pizza, milk, subs are available for order on schoolcashonline.com for the upcoming term. Food orders close this Thursday at 9pm Dec 18th. No late orders are accepted. Donations are also open if interested.
This week:
Bake Sale: Thank you to all families who have signed up to send in items for a big sale. A reminder to please send a short ingredient list and no nuts please on Monday or Tuesday morning. We hope to raise $750 for our Gr 8 graduation. Items will be sold for $2 and up. Please send students on Tuesday with cash. We will be selling items at both concerts and it is cash only. We will also, have prepackaged cookies and popcorn for sale in case of any students with allergies or dietary needs.
Daytime concert: Tuesday, December 16th. 9-10am. Each primary and junior class (gr.1-6) will perform as well as a short performance by each extracurricular music club (grade 6 band, intermediate band, grade 1-5 choir and grade 6-8 choir). Parents/Families are invited to attend.
Evening concert: Tuesday, December 16th 6:30-7:15pm. The extracurricular music clubs (grade 6 band, intermediate band, grade 1-5 choir and grade 6-8 choir) will perform. Parents/Families are invited to attend.
Please choose one concert to attend to allow for space capacity. A reminder photos/videos can be taken however; please don't post photos/videos of other students on social media due to freedom of information and consent required.
Friday December 19: A reminder this Friday is comfy cozy day. Students can come to school dressed in their PJs or comfortable clothing for a great final day before the holidays! As we close out the year 2025, all of us extend our heartfelt wishes to you and your families for a great holiday and break. May this holiday season bring joy, warmth, and cherished moments to your family celebrations. We wish you all the best in the New Year 2026 and hope it is a great year ahead!
