Congratulations to our Ultimate Frisbee Team for the team work and sportsmanship they displayed at the tournament this week. Thanks to Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. Lowrie for coaching the team. Thanks to our supporters who braved the rain to cheer on the team.
In November we will be marking Remembrance Day as a school. If you have photos of family members who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces, we invite you to email their photos and names to Mrs. D-J. We will include them as part of the assembly. If you have sent photos in last year you do not need to resend.
This week our CYC, Jaime Young, started to visit Junior and Intermediate classrooms to talk about the Kids Help Phone. This 24 hour service allows kids to speak to a trained professional when they are dealing with big emotions and/or are in crisis. We will be hosting virtual visits with a representative from Kids Help Phone in the coming weeks to let the kids know that there is help available if they need it.
Thanks to School Council for organizing the first food days of the school year. Our students were very excited to pick up their ordered lunches. A reminder that School Council is meeting on Monday at 6:30pm in the library. All parents are welcome.
Don’t forget our Intermediate Fundraiser with the Dominos is posted at www.schoolcashonline.com It is a great value for families ($25 dollar card gets you $75 worth of food) and a great return to the school. Funds go to offsetting the cost of the year end trip.
Just a reminder that many of our staff and students have sensitivity to scents. Perfumes, body sprays and colognes are causing them to feel ill in the classroom. Please encourage your children not to wear scents to school.
Coming soon…the WHY survey for parents. I will be sending the link home next week.
