We had an amazing “Coldest Night of the Year” walk on Friday.  Thank you to our wonderful community for raising over $1000 for our local food bank.  Between online donations, cash donations in the school, and hockey card sales we showed our community spirit.  Thank you to Ms. McLarnon and all the students who organized  announcements, posters and more to get the word out.

In the spirit of Kindness, Ms Kuenzig’s class and members of Triple S will be selling “Kindness Grams” this week.  Students will be able to send a “sweet message” to a friend or someone that they would like to recognize for their kindness.  These will be on sale during recess and delivered on Friday.

The theme of Kindness continues as we wear Pink on Wednesday to acknowledge Pink Shirt Day Canada: Stand Up to Bullying.  Throughout the week we will sharing information on the announcements about the importance of kindness and what to do if you see or experience bullying.

On Wednesday classes will be invited to the gym for some bus safety presentations.  As all our students ride the school bus either daily or school trips, this recommended presentation  will be filled with helpful reminders.

With the “no bus days” and “system shutdowns” we have had to reschedule the dental screenings until March 21 and the Metis presentations until May 7.
