Can you believe it is March already?  In this week leading up to March Break there is a lot happening.  Skiing and skating trips are planned for many classes.  We have a comfy/cozy spirit day on Friday.  Tuesday our Junior Sideline Basketball Team is competing in the county tournament and on Thursday our Hockey Team competes in their tournament.

This Friday is our “Live Free” event at Spencer Ave in support of our school’s Snack Program.  Did you know that each of our classrooms have snack bins that students can access when they are hungry?  These are filled with grain products and apple sauce twice a week.  Did you know that we always have fresh fruit in the front hall that students can grab when passing.  This year we have “snack days” where students can come down at recess to get a yogurt, cheese string or milk.  Students make good use of all these snacking opportunities with no questions asked.  Spencer is given a grant from President Choice’s Breakfast Programs to purchase food, but we are asked to fundraise through the Live Free campaign to support our program.  Please consider donating on www.schoolcashonline.com or by bringing in a toonie.
