All areas of the school are hopping with so many activities happening.  The Skills Canada Team has been in the library much of this week working on their designs, testing, and changing them in preparation for the Skills Canada competition happening on Monday at the University of Guelph.  We wish all students the best of luck.  Play practice, intramurals and basketball has the gym busy before, during and after school.  Clubs and teams are happening in so many classrooms at recess.  Students find out about happenings each morning on our announcement slide deck.

This past week we had the fire department present to  kindergarteners on fire safety. They will be speaking with the grade one and two classes next week.

Next week Mme. Hill, Mr. Sy, Mme. Kuenzig and Mrs. Lowrie’s classes have been invited to participate as a pilot group on the board’s new “Student Engagement Survey.”  Parent permission forms were sent home to families this week.  Please take a peek in backpacks if you would be willing to have your child participate.  The feedback from students will assist the board in making adjustments before sending it out to all grade 4-12 students in the Fall.

A reminder to all families that Friday, April 4th is a  PD day and  the school will be closed to students.  Staff will be working on strategies to improve our math programs and student mental health.
