It has been a short, but interesting week weather wise.  We even had to bring students in when we had a thunderstorm when the snow was falling.  It has made primary calendar activities where we talk about and graph the weather very interesting.

We have had a few issues recently with parents wanting to come into the school at the entry bell to walk their child to class.  We are parents, and we appreciate wanting to make sure your child settles in.  We also are working with students on routines that foster community and independence.  Having additional adults in our hallways that are strangers to most of our students makes entry time extra busy.  We ask that you have your child line up with their peers at the back of the school and come in with their teacher and classmates.  Should you arrive late we ask that you say good-bye at the office and a staff member will see that your child gets safely into the classroom.  Should you need to talk to a teacher, we ask that you send a note with your child or email the teacher and they will reach out to you.  Thank you for your cooperation with this as morning entry can be a very busy time of day for all.

A reminder that tomorrow is a PD Day and the school is closed to students.  Teachers will be working on Math PD and Mentally Healthy Schools.
