Did you know that we are almost 75% through our school year?  There are so many things happening and things to look forward to as we prepare for the home stretch.  In cutting and pasting my email last week to send out, a piece was cut off.  I wanted to send a big congratulations to the Skills Canada team and their coaches for their incredible problem solving and teamwork at the competition on March 31st.  Thanks to Mrs. McLarnon, Mr. Curry and Mr. Lopes for your work with the team all season.  Thanks to our parent cheerleading squad for taking time to support the kids.

Next week our intermediates welcome a number of community partners to Spencer Ave to speak about different careers and pathways.  We are thankful to be the recipient of an experiential learning grant to support this event.  Thank you to Mrs. Kennedy for applying for the grant.

Just a note that Spencer has been selected at a polling site for the Federal Election on April 28th.  Mr. Sy’s class will also be hosting a “student vote” as part of their Social Studies unit.

Spencer Ave Players are excited to invite you to their production of Willy Wonka Jr!  Tickets go on sale on Monday!
