I wanted to begin this message by sending out a big congratulations to our Special Olympians on outstanding performances at the meet this past week.  Thank you to our peer coaches who supported.  A big thank you to Mrs. Hewitt for organizing and coaching the team and to Mrs. Bray, Mrs. Currie, Ms. Galbraith and Mrs Thompson for supporting our athletes.

We are a little over two weeks away from our School Council Community Event.  Mark your calendars for June 11 from 5-7pm.  See below more information:

Community Event

As mentioned in my mid-week message we have booked the Guelph Grotto Climbing Experience to come to Spencer Ave the week of June 9 to 13.  Each class will have a time slot to explore the age appropriate activities.  In order for your child to participate you most sign the waiver that was sent home last week.  We are able to provide this experience thanks to Outdoor Education Learning Funds, some school funds and the support of School Council.

School Council has also funded the Climbing Experience to be part of the Community Evening.  If you would like to participate as a family (up to four people) please sign up at the following link: https://forms.gle/deTxHbgozoJHEs7y5  Please note that spaces are limited and it is first come, first served.  Parents must accompany their children and a waiver must be signed before participating.

With five weeks left of school (yikes) there are many things happening.  Please pay attention to teacher emails and check out the calendar on our website, where I try to add things when I know.
