Hey, Winegard Families!

Our intermediate students are hard at work preparing for our 3rd Annual Winegard Winter Market! As part of their entrepreneurship project, students were challenged to create, build, advertise, and ultimately sell a product. They’ve formed small “companies” — complete with branding, marketing, and product development — and they are excited to share their creations with the rest of the school.

And what are they selling? Just about everything you can imagine! From keychains to slime, stickers to cake pops, live-edge wood ornaments to baked goods — and plenty more in between.

The rest of the school will have the opportunity to shop and purchase items from the student vendors during their scheduled classroom visit times.

How to Purchase Tickets

There are two ways to buy tickets (used as currency at the market):

  • Pre-purchase through SchoolCashOnline$1.00 per ticket

Preferred option to help avoid long lineups!

  • Buy tickets at the event on the day

Most items will cost 3–5 tickets ($3–$5).

Event Date & Times

Thursday, December 11

  • 11:30–12:30

  • 1:30–2:30

  • 5:00–7:00 pm (Families invited to browse and shop in the intermediate hallway upstairs!)

Where the Money Goes

Half of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity, and the other half will help subsidize end-of-year trips for our intermediate students.

Over the past two years, students have donated hundreds of dollars to organizations like Diabetes Canada and the Guelph Humane Society — and they’re excited to continue giving back.

Thank you for supporting our Grade 7 and 8 student entrepreneurs!
