Dear Winegard Families,
It was truly an unreal week here at WCW! Our students had so many opportunities to learn, participate, and shine. On Wednesday, our Primary students basked in the sun and took part in the Primary Winter Olympics, where teamwork, laughter, and some impressive winter skills were on full display. On Thursday, our Junior Basketball teams proudly represented the school at the City Tournament, showing great effort, sportsmanship, and teamwork throughout the day. We also welcomed Bus Safety presentations for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, helping reinforce the importance of staying safe while travelling to and from school. To wrap up the week on Friday, our Primary students had the opportunity to learn from an Indigenous guest speaker who shared stories, perspectives, and important cultural teachings.
Weeks like this remind us how special our school community is—full of learning, celebration, and memorable experiences for our students.
