1) Important Dates:
- Wednesday, February 28 – Pink Shirt Day
- Friday, March 1st – Immunization Reporting Deadline
- Friday, March 1st – last day to purchase tickets for Brant Avenue Day at the Guelph Storm (Sunday, March 17th)
- Friday, March 1st – Live Free Day – donations open until February 29th on SchoolCash Online!
2) MakerSpace Donations:
Our maker space materials stash is running out! Please send in any of the following items to help us out:
- Paper towel tubes/wrapping paper tubes/toilet paper tubes
- Small or medium boxes of different shapes (not flattened) – toothpaste, soap, make up, cereal, crackers, tea boxes, etc.
- Clean, clear plastic containers (the kind you get fruit or applesauce in) or yogurt type cups
- Small gift bags
- Stickers, yarn, extra holiday materials etc (the kids will literally create with anything!)
Thank you for keeping the Learning Commons in mind as you recycle or purge!
3) Spirit Week:
Brant Avenue PS is having a Spirit Week from March 4-8, including a Dance-A-Thon! Pledges are open on SchoolCash Online. Here are the Spirit Days:
- Monday, March 4 is Show What You Love Day: Wear something that connects to you! It might be a jersey or your favourite team’s colours, something from a special hobby or vacation, or an outfit that makes you happy!
- Tuesday, March 5 is Head & Shoulder Day: Wear your favourite hat, a cool hair clip, or your favourite scarf or necklace!
- Wednesday, March 6 is Comfy Cozy Day: Wear what makes you feel comfy and cozy: a special sweater, some toasty pjs, or a touque and a scarf!
- Thursday, March 7 is Sparkle & Shine Day: Sparkle your way through the day with glitter or sequins, or show your inner shine by wearing a favourite outfit that makes you feel amazing!
- Friday, March 8 is Brant Bear Day: Wear your Brant gear or something that’s blue to show your Brant Bear Spirit!
