Police Presence in Schools town hall and survey info

The Upper Grand District School Board is seeking input regarding the presence of police in UGDSB schools.

Virtual Town Hall

A virtual town hall will be held on Tuesday Oct. 20 from 6:30-7:30pm.

Students, staff, parents/guardians and school community members are invited to join event by watching the live stream at https://vimeo.com/ugstream.

Part of the community conversation will be an exercise facilitated by Thought Exchange. The board is using this format to ensure that the process is fair and inclusive, and free of bias and oppression.

For those folks who haven’t used Thought Exchange before, the following resources may be useful to review before the town hall:

For those who are unable to participate in the town hall, the same questions asked in the town hall will also be asked in a survey that will launch immediately following the town hall on Oct. 20.

Only those who were unable to participate in the town hall and Thought Exchange are to complete the survey.
