Reopening of Schools – Information (August 10th, 2020)
Hello Maryborough PS Parents,
This post is an overview of where to locate current information on the Reopening of Schools. Over the coming weeks, additional information will be shared with families on our school website regarding specific routines at Maryborough PS.
1) The UGDSB has created a web page with information regarding the Reopening of Schools. Please click on the following link to see this page: www.ugdsb.ca/fall2020.
2) The Upper Grand DSB has created a Parent Guide for the Reopening of Schools. This guide has been attached to this post (see below), or it can be found by clicking on the Board information link above. PDF Parent Guide Link: Guide UGDSB Parent Guide To Reopening Schools August 6 2020
3) The Ministry of Education has shared that students will be returning to school using a Conventional Model, meaning we will follow a normal school day routine with enhanced health and safety protocols. Prior to August 14th, all parents are asked to complete the following Parent Survey: www.ugdsb.ca/survey. It is important that all families complete this survey, as it will let us know if students will be returning to school or if they will be participating in the online learning option.
4) An email has been shared specifically with all JK parents. It is important to note that the Staggered Entry of JK students will not take place this year. All JK students will start on the first day of school (Tuesday, September 8th, 2020). Therefore, please disregard the Staggered Entry information that was emailed previously.
