School Supplies for September

Posted August 27, 2020

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding, as we have been working to create our Reopening Plan for Maryborough PS families. It is our goal to communicate this plan by the end of this week. In the meantime, I have had requests for what school supplies might be required for September.

As we will not be using cubbies or coat bays at this time, it is important to please keep your child’s personal items to a minimum. To support a safe and comfortable environment, students are asked to bring the following items (clearly labelled with the student’s name):

  • Knapsack or tote bag for personal belongings
  • Face masks (they may need more than one)
  • Personal water bottle (as these will be filled as required at the fountains)
  • Seasonal outdoor wear (we are not requiring ‘indoor shoes’ at this time)
  • Only those items that are necessary for the day:
    • Kindergarten & Primary students: pencil case, pencils, eraser, glue stick, scissors, washable markers, crayons
    • Junior Students: pencil case, pencils, eraser, glue stick, scissors, pencil crayons, washable markers, calculator
  • Students may bring their own devices and headphones, but they must be wiped by the student upon entry and before leaving at the end of the day
  • If you borrowed a Chromebook in the Spring for remote learning, you can return this device on the first day of school

Below is a sample of how a Kindergarten/Primary supply kit could look:

Thank you!
