Halloween at Maryborough PS

Posted October 22, 2020

Hello Maryborough PS Families,

With Halloween fast approaching next Thursday, we would like to share some information about Halloween and how this event will be celebrated at MPS. There are some parameters that need to be followed as a result of COVID-19 and our Public Health guidelines.

On Thursday, October 29th, we are asking that students wear Orange and Black for our Halloween Spirit Day.

If you ultimately decide to send your child in a costume, please carefully consider the costume your child wears to school, as they will need to wear this costume all day.  Should students choose to wear a costume, they need to come to school with their costume on. In addition:

  • All accessories for the costume are to stay at home – as we are minimizing items brought to school
  • Students will still be required to wear their COVID mask (Halloween masks must not replace their COVID masks)

It is also important to note that students may not bring in candy/drinks/treats to share with the class (if treats are sent in, they will be returned home); however, students may bring a treat for themselves in their lunch.

Thank you for your support in ensuring that students are able to safely celebrate together.
