END-OF-DAY PICK UP CHANGES

The front of the school, main hallway, and office is a busy place at the end of the day. We’re making some minor changes to our processes to keep students safe during pick up time.

We cannot accommodate early pick-ups after 3:00 pm.

If you need to pick your child up early for an appointment, please arrive prior to 3:00 pm. Otherwise, your child will meet you out back during regular dismissal time at 3:15.

If your child will not be riding the bus home, please call the office before 3:00 pm to make sure they are marked off the bus list. Do not come in the front door to pick them up; head around the back of the school (or the Kindergarten Gate) and your child will meet you there.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event of bus cancellations, Brant Avenue PS remains open for all students who can get there safely. Most of our students come to school when buses are cancelled and lessons and classwork continue as usual in the building!

Will there be an outdoor recess? The decision to keep students in during recess or to shorten their time outdoors is made by the principal or designate of each school when the conditions warrant such action. Physical activity and socialization refresh students and help them to be more successful in the learning activities that follow a recess break, so principals will allow outdoor recess whenever possible.
