WINTER FUN AT SCHOOL – A FEW FRIENDLY REMINDERS

Students love the snow! Please review these rules to keep everyone safe and happy:.

  • No throwing snow – It can accidentally hurt someone

  • Share the snow – There’s plenty for everyone

  • Respect forts – Please don’t destroy what others have worked hard to create

  • Dress for the weather – Hats, mitts, boots, and snow pants help kids stay warm and enjoy outdoor time.

We go outside at least twice every day!

If you need warm clothing or indoor shoes, we can help!

Ask Ms. Drinkwater in the office or your child’s teacher.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE - DID YOU KNOW?

While Ontario Law states that children between the ages of 6 and 17 must attend school, we do understand that sometimes illness and other circumstances mean that a student must be away.  These situations, however, should be exceptions and schools have a responsibility to follow up and address absences with families.

School attendance and established routines are so important for students to build knowledge, skills, confidence, and positive social connections. We also recognize that ensuring consistent attendance at school relies on strong home/school relationships and consistent communication. Please know there are many supports and resources available to you at the school to promote regular attendance with your children!
